HOUSTON – Dec. 20, 2017 – PRLog — TRUEGRID® Pavers is proud to announce Jennifer Davis and Abigail Sage as the first and second place winners of the second annual TRUE-U Scholarship . Prizes are awarded to students hoping to further their studies in sustainability and to support their service to the environment.
First Place Winner: $2,500 award
Jennifer Davis – Graduate Program at University of Massachusetts at Amherst – Regional Planning (Area Studies)
Second Place Winner: $500 award
Abigail Sage – Graduate Program at Boise State University – Biology
TRUEGRID® received six times as many essay applications as the previous year, from students of all ages across the country. These applicants’ interest in pursuing a greener future for the planet is an inspiration. The winners demonstrated a clear understanding of the challenges surrounding sustainable development and conservation, and TRUEGRID® is proud to support them as they continue their studies.
ABOUT THE TRUE-U SCHOLARSHIP
TRUEGRID® strives to inform and supply others with sustainable alternatives that work WITH nature to combat the causes and effects of climate change. We aim to invest in individuals who share our vision and will be the next wave of professionals at the forefront of this movement. The TRUE-U Scholarship program is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 17 years of age or older who are enrolled or have been accepted into an accredited college or university to pursue any of the areas of study below. Applicants must wfv have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
