GCI Health puts Edie DeVine in charge of medical, health tech
SAN FRANCISCO: GCI Health has shifted former West Coast lead Edie DeVine to the role of U.S. director of medical and health technology, a newly created role.
DeVine is overseeing the specialist firm’s medical device and health IT client work and is responsible for growth in that area. She will continue to be based in San Francisco.
The agency has filled DeVine’s previous role of West Coast market leader with Elliot Levy, who was an SVP in its Los Angeles office. He will oversee the firm’s clients and growth in LA, San Francisco, and Denver.
Both started their new roles last week.
Prior to joining GCI Health in 2010, DeVine worked at WeissComm Partners and Progenics Pharmaceuticals.
Levy began his career at GCI Health and worked at Edelman and Cohn & Wolfe before returning to the WPP healthcare specialist firm in 2013.
In May, GCI launched an office in Washington, DC, led by Tori Fort, in an effort to expand into health public affairs and policy. It also opened its doors in Philadelphia in January.
